Tirupur: At this time of COVID-19 pandemic, every district administration is adopting novel ways to ensure seamless supply of essentials to the needy in their jurisdictions. But the Tirupur district administration has garnered the attention of the Chief Minister and won the hearts of the residents.
From day one of the lock down, the Tirupur district administration led by District Collector K Vijayakarthikeyan is working round the clock with zeal. Amid intense work, the team of volunteers never fail to brainstorm ideas to serve the needy efficiently.

In one such initiative, the District Administration surprised a group of specially abled people in Palladam by delivering groceries and vegetables at their door step. According to sources, a group of 14 people in Palladam were stuck in their homes and were unable to move out to buy essentials. An appeal by them was taken up by the district administration on priority and through volunteers all essentials were delivered to them, this morning.

It may be recalled that Chief Minister Edapadi Palanisamy on Monday lauded, Tirupur Collector K Vijayakarthikeyan for addressing the migrant labourers issue in a timely manner.
