Surplus budget
As has been the case in the last 3 years, this year's budget is also a surplus budget. The Total budget this year saw a year over year increase of ₹785 crores to ₹2,156.18 crore with a total expenditure of ₹2,155.04 crore. Thus the remaining surplus for the year is expected to be Rs. 1.14 crore. The total budget for 2019-2020 was Rs 1,371.07 crore and total expenditure was Rs 1,370.25 crore. The surplus last year was ₹82 lakhs.
