On Monday, the police on patrol at Veerapandi noticed a pregnant woman, Maheshwari, experiencing labour pain and waiting for a cab to transport her to the hospital. The pregnant woman in pain had been waiting for 108 ambulance, but in vain.
Police Inspector Ganapathi, who was in the patrol vehicle, assisted Maheswari, by sending her to the hospital in the patrol vehicle. Maheshwari was accompanied by Sub Inspector Kalavathi and Constable Sathish.
The timely help by the police have won the hearts of many.
