Coimbatore: ₹50 lakhs fund was allocated from Pollachi MP development fund for buying medical equipment, medicines, face masks and other essentials few days back. Today after visiting the Pollachi GH, MP Shanmugasundaram advised allocating ₹50 lakhs more from the MP development fund to the District Collector of Coimbatore K. Rajamani.

Today after visiting the Pollachi GH, MP Shanmugasundaram advised allocating ₹50 lakhs more from the MP development fund to the District Collector of Coimbatore K. Rajamani.
A total of 1 crore has been allocated and transferred to the District Collector to provide essentials to Thondamuthur, Madathukulam, Kinathukadavu, Pollachi, Valparai and Udumalaipettai government hospitals. He requested the government to provide the required assistance to stop the spread. He also requested people to maintain curfew as ordered by the state and central government and maintain social distancing.
He also said that, "People with symptoms for corona at Anaimalai were identified at around 1 AM today and were sent to Coimbatore GH for treatment under the guidance of the sub-collector. The people in the neighbourhood are kept under observation by the sub-collector's office."
