Tirupur: In accordance with the enforced lockdown due to the spread of COVID-19, a Muslim couple from Tirupur, held their wedding ceremony, at their home, which was conducted in a simple way.

Abbas (26) and Rafia (23), were to be wedded at a private wedding hall, in the Tirupur-Kangeyam road. However, owing to the lockdown being enforced in the present situation, they decided to oblige by the rules of the government and held their wedding at their house on Tirupur-Dharapuram road.

Talking about the wedding, the relatives said, "The wedding was supposed to be conducted in a grand manner. However considering the welfare of the city and the rules enforced by the District Administration, the wedding took place at home, with very few relatives."
All the relatives who attended the wedding wore face masks and maintained distance.
