Four tested positive for COVID-19 at ESI Hospital in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: Four patients who were admitted at the isolation ward in ESI Hospital with COVID-19 symptoms, are tested positive, health officials confirmed on Sunday evening.

Coimbatore: Four patients who were admitted at the isolation ward in ESI Hospital with COVID-19 symptoms, are tested positive, health officials confirmed on Sunday evening. 

Among the four, is the female railway doctor who treated a COVID 19 positive patient from Thailand in Erode. Along with the doctor, her 10-months old baby, her 50-year-old mother and maid have been tested positive. 

The doctor's husband and her first child are tested negative. Their blood reports have been sent to Chennai for reconfirmation, the officials told. 

It may be noted that last week the 29-year-old doctor was transferred from Erode railway hospital to Podanur railway hospital. Following her isolation, both Podanur and Erode railway hospitals were sealed. 

Today, a 18-year-old boy has been admitted in ESI with COVID symptoms, his results are yet to be known.
