There are five primary health centres and more than 5 sub-stations in the Solaiyar Dam and surrounding areas. The Government Primary Health Center at Valparai has been upgraded. Only recently the Valparai Government Hospital was equipped to handle deliveries of women. Patients were earlier sent to Pollachi and Coimbatore for advanced treatment. But with ₹45 crore grant from the government for upgradation, the hospital is now equipped to treat with advanced facilities.
