Coimbatore: The City Police created awareness using loudspeakers in various areas in Coimbatore including Ramanathapuram, Pothanur etc. The curfew has been implemented nationwide since last 24th to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
Coimbatore: The City Police created awareness using loudspeakers in various areas in Coimbatore including Ramanathapuram, Pothanur etc. The curfew has been implemented nationwide since last 24th to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
Thus, the public roads in the city of Coimbatore wore a deserted look. More than 1000 police are involved in the security work. In this case Inspector Murugesan led the police to raise awareness through the loudspeaker in areas including Olympus, Puliyakulam, Ammankulam and Ramanathapuram.
The police also went and carried out various vigilante campaigns to make civilians live in isolation, wash their hands and restrict social spread. Similarly, the police were also involved in vigilance and food distribution activities in Sundarapuram, Vellalaur, Kurichi pirivu, Athupalam bridge, under the jurisdiction of the Pothanur police.
