Coimbatore: In a latest announcement, the Chief Minister announced that from Saturday, grocery shops and petrol bunks will only function between 6 AM to 2:40 PM in the State.
Contrary to the earlier advisory stating that no restrictions have been imposed on timing of grocery and essentials and that they will be operational, as usual, the State government has issued new advisory altering the timing.
Citing to buy essentials, as more people are venturing out through the day, the CM has announced to limit the timings.
He has also requested the people to understand the reason for lockdown and stay indoors to safeguard themselves and others.
