Coimbatore: A young woman from North India, who was diagnosed with symptoms of COVID-19, was admitted and given treatment at the ESI hospital. However, she escaped from the hospital, without the knowledge of any of the staff. Following this, the hospital administration tried to search for her, in the neighbourhood which ended up in vain.

However, she escaped from the hospital, without the knowledge of any of the staff. Following this, the hospital administration tried to search for her, in the neighbourhood which ended up in vain.
Following this the hospital administration filed a complaint about the missing woman with the Singanallur Police Station.
Consequently a search was initiated by the Singanallur police, led by the Singanallur Police Inspector Muneeshwaran.
It was during this time that they spotted the woman, hiding near the Vasantha Mill Bus Stop, waiting to board a bus. They enquired her, out of suspicion, and confirmed that she had escaped from the hospital.
Subsequently, she was caught and information was sent for a 108 ambulance. The ambulance arrived and rescued the woman. She was later admitted back to her isolation ward in the ESI.
