According to reports from health officials, the female doctor had treated those who were in touch with the two Thailand nationals who were tested positive in Erode. Later, last week she was transferred from Erode to Podanur railway station in Coimbatore.
Following her admission, both Erode and Podanur railway stations have been sealed. It may be recalled that one of the Thai national who died at Coimbatore GH and tested negative for COVID-19 was also among the seven member crew in which two are tested postive.
It is to be noted that the Thailand tourist who died here at GH was tested negative and the officials stated that his existing health ailments led to his death and not COVID-19.
