Coimbatore: MLA N. Karthik distributed face masks and food to sanitary workers. Despite the lockdown, the sanitary workers continue to work for the public. In order to ensure their safety, DMK Legislator and Coimbatore East District Secretary N Karthik visited in his two-wheeler and provided face masks and breakfast to cleaning workers in Ward 55 and 53 of the Coimbatore Corporation. He advised them to work without compromising safety.

He said upon orders of DMK Chief MK Stalin 20 lakhs was allocated to ESI hospital and added that required financial help will be extended as and when needed. He said that the sanitary workers are provided with face masks and food to protect them from corona threat.
He further said that cleaning shields and protective equipment were provided to the cleaning workers in the 100 wards of the Coimbatore Corporation on behalf of the Coimbatore Corporation.
