The Nilgiris: Two cases have been filed against Ajith Kumar and Vijayaprabha who were isolated in their homes by the District Administration. They were instructed to be home quarantined after they had returned from abroad. Upon complaint by the officials who said they were going about freely by violating the home quarantine, a case has been filed against both.

The health department and district administration are conducting routine inspections on people who had recently returned from abroad. They have been asked to stay quarantined during this period of time to rule out traces of infection.
As a part of this, health department officials are conducting surveillance of seven houses of people who returned from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Oman are residing, in areas around Manvayal, which are under the Sri Madurai panchayat.
The houses are constantly inspected by health officers to check fever symptoms of inmates and a sticker has been placed in front of their houses that the inmates have been quarantined. With the 144 ban imposed for all for 21 days, the officials are on constant surveillance.
