Coimbatore: The city police on Wednesday have helped a stranded tourist from Poland near Singanallur bus stand. The female tourist was later safely sent to a private hotel on Avinashi road.
Coimbatore: The city police on Wednesday have helped a stranded tourist from Poland near Singanallur bus stand. The female tourist was later safely sent to a private hotel on Avinashi road.
Last January, a woman from Poland arrived in India to join yoga classes at Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore. Since then, she has been staying at a private hostel near railway station.
Yesterday, while patrolling, Inspector of Singanallur police station found a stranded Westerner near Singanallur bus stand. Upon inquiry, he came to that the woman had arrived from Poland to Isha yoga centre.
She informed the police that due to Coronavrius scare, the hostel she was staying had forced her to leave. The inspector immediately guided her to the District Collectorate.
Subsequently, the District Revenue Officer and the Collector consulted and gave permitted her to stay in a private hotel on Avinashi Road.
The woman traveller from Poland thanked the police and the district administration for their timely intervention and guidance.
