Coimbatore: The public has demanded that the police stop the attack on those who are travelling for essentials, as the government has ordered lockdown in all cities. More than 19,000 civilians around the world have been tragically killed by the virus.
Coimbatore: The public has demanded that the police stop the attack on those who are travelling for essentials, as the government has ordered lockdown in all cities. More than 19,000 civilians around the world have been tragically killed by the virus.
In order to curb these deaths and its impacts, the central government has issued a total of 144 bans nationwide to curtail civilian movement in India. This has completely crippled not only Tamil Nadu but also across India.
And this ban has been largely been taken up positively by all as streets wore a deserted look in all areas. Those who had the need to buy essentials had to go n nearby and Police too had been polite in many areas. But there have been serious lapses in some areas where police excesses have been quite unnerving. This has caused major panic among citizens that the govt is not going to allow essential services. Another major issue is that Amma Unavagams have been declared to be open during this time and was seen as a major boon for the daily wagers, bachelors and migrant workers. All this confidence has now been lost and panic has been created in people's minds that even the essentials cannot be accessed and what the government has told was just lip service.
The public has, therefore, demanded that the police department control the excesses by few of them and take legal action on those who have strayed away from civil norms.
