Coimbatore: Police caught two youngsters who were involved in 14 theft cases in and around Pollachi. With the rise of theft cases in the city, under the order of West Zone Police Chief & Coimbatore Division Chief and under the guidance of SP Sujit Kumar, Additional SP Anitha and Vijay Karthik, under the head of Pollachi Sub-division DSP KG Sivakumar, a team consisting of Negammam Inspector D. Vetri Vel Rajan, Sub-Inspector T. Rajendra Prasad, J. Saravanan, S. Ganesan, Head constable Raj Kumar, officers Arun Kumar, Kathirvel was formed.

The police were inspecting vehicles at the Pollachi-Palladam road, Kattampatti when they stopped two youth in the bike. Upon investigations, they made shocking revelations of 14 thefts they had committed since 2019. Youth were identified as Kishore form Vyasarpadi, Chennai and Sivaprakasam from Thanjavur.

Police confiscated things worth Rs. 25,00,000 including 70,000 cash, one car, and 2 motorcycles. They were arrested and sent for court custody of 25-03-2020. The police officers were appreciated for their swift action.
