As the impact of the coronavirus on the world continues to increase, the government is making various efforts to contain it. As part of this, 144 ban orders have been issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu since last evening.
Roads in major areas such as Ukkadam, Town Hall, Gandhipuram 100 ft Road, Race Road and Singanallur are blocked with barricades.

So this morning, the police repatriated the civilians who walked on the roads for getting essentials. They also warned that stringent action would be taken if the public is found travelling on the roads without any urgent need.
