Meanwhile, 13 business organisations including CODISSIA, TACT and COPMA met with the District Collector Rajamani to file a petition. More than 50 thousand SMEs in Coimbatore will be closed on the 31st and the corporations are likely to be closed till June according to the trade unions because of corona.
They said with the businesses already in a dull state, the coronavirus episode has worsened the situation drastically. Accordingly, they requested that they should be given six months to repay bank loans, GST, income tax and to pay electricity bills.
