Tirupur: A 48-year-old businessman from Tirupur who had recently traveled to the UK and returned few days back has been tested positive for Coronavirus infection.
The businessman is a resident of Amarjyothi Gardens in Tirupur. He was quarantined at ESI hospital in Singanallur, Coimbatore, three days back.
Based on his reports, his wife and others in his contact have been quarantined.
The patient tested positive is stable and so far 97 people who returned from various countries are under home quarantine, told K Vijayakarthikeyan, District Collector of Tirupur.
The State Health Minister C Vijayabaskar has confirmed that he was tested positive in his tweet.
