COVID-19: Corporation Commissioner insists officials to work with utmost dedication and consistency

Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner, J Sravan Kumar on Monday has requested the workers engaged in fumigation process to prevent COVID-19 spread, to execute their work with utmost dedication and follow all the instructions consistently.

In a review meeting held at the Corporation head office to ensure the preparedness measure, the Commissioner insisted the concerned authorities who are involved in the preventive measures against the spread of Coronavirus to be alert and vigilant. 

"The officials must ensure that the sanitation workers are equipped with protective gear, disinfectants and sprayers. Also, keenly check if sufficient quantities of these are stocked up. The Assistant Commissioners and Health Officers must ensure that these are ready for distribution, at all times", he told.

He also insisted on, "Door to door awareness and distribution of pamphlets to the masses. Practical demonstration of hand washing techniques must be explained to the public, constantly."

He further requested the authorities to be prepared for any contingency and to ensure proper water supply. 

"Any person with cold, cough and fever must approach the nearest Government hospital or the Primary health center and take the required treatment. People must be made aware of the importance of keeping their homes and surroundings clean", the Corporation Commissioner insisted.

"People are requested to provide their support, for the prevention measures being taken, to control the spread of COVID-19", he urged.

Mathiazhagan, Assistant District Welfare Officer Dr. Vasanth Diwakar, Zonal Health Officers Radhakrishnan, Loganathan, Gunasekaran, Chandran and all other Corporation Officials took part in the meeting.
