400 workers were stopped at the Walayar checkpost, on the Kerala-TN border, today. After extreme scrutiny, they were permitted to enter into the state.

Pregnant women, who had travelled for checkup, from Kerala to TN were caught in the inspection, along with the group of workers. Following this, the pregnant women were checked for fever, and later sent to hospitals, by the officials, on 108 ambulance.
The Health department officials and the Police department officials have been keen to send back vehicles from Kerala as a precautionary and preventive measure.
