Coimbatore: The villagers of Pattakaranoor in Mettupalayam municipality decked their houses with neem leaves to prevent the spread of the novel Coronavirus.

Coimbatore: The villagers of Pattakaranoor in Mettupalayam municipality decked their houses with neem leaves to prevent the spread of the novel Coronavirus. 



While the villagers are well aware of the proposed preventive measures mandated by the State government, the villagers believe that tying neem leaves to their houses will kill airborne viruses.

The villagers informed that from ancient times, neem leaves are known for their extraordinary medicinal power to kill viruses. Whether Corona would die of this or not, by decking our houses with neem leaves gives us reassurance, they opine.
