Married for 16 years, Ramala from Chundi Village in O'Valley in Gudalur lives in Sirumugai near Mettupalayam. She alleged that her husband Mustafa has been sexually abusing their daughter and torturing them.
She alleged that the police took no action on her complaints. The aggreived woman said she was living in her sister's house and her husband had threatened to kill her. Hence, she took the extreme step of self immolation along with her children.
The alert police personnel thwarted her attempt and rescued her.
The woman requested the District Collectorate to initiate action against her husband.
