Healer Baskar, who has been active on social media, suggesting various quack remedies, for the treatment of COVID-19, has been arrested by the Kuniamuthur police, in Coimbatore.
Healer Baskar, had already been arrested before, for promoting that normal delivery can be done at home, without the assistance of a doctor. He is also popular for his videos, suggesting remedies, for various ailments. He was always against Allopathic medicine and called it commercial medicine.
Following Healer Baskar's talks about Coronavirus and the supposed medications for it, Health Minister Vijayabaskar, said that 'appropriate action' would be taken on Healer Baskar, for false propaganda. He announced this at a press meet.
Consequently, Healer Baskar was arrested by the Kuniamuthur police and was taken to Coimbatore GH, for medical testing. He will be presented before the court shortly.
