The PM on Thursday addressed the nation over the issue of the Coronavirus the global pandemic that has so far claimed the lives of four Indians and infected 173 across the nation.
He informed that for the past two months we have been witnessing a crisis that has engulfed the entire human race.
The PM further stressed on the best practices to be followed to.combat the virus. "Resolution and restraint is very important. It is very important for every Indian to stay alert to combat against this global epidemic. People should resolve to follow the advisories issued by the State and Central governments to fight the pandemic. Importantly, we must practice social distancing and washing hands regularly as per the guidelines", the PM told the citizens.
"On March 22, from 7 AM to 9 PM, all citizens have to follow 'Janata' curfew. The curfew will also prepare us for the challenges to come. I request the NCC, NSS, civil socities, and others to help enforce the curfew. To offer thanks to all such people who are providing essential services during such critical times, on sunday at 5 PM, let us stand at the doors and balconies of our houses and applaud these people for five minutes — by clapping, banging plates and pans", the PM requested the people.
He also urged the citizens to be compassionate to labourers, by not deducting wages of those people who do not turn up at jobs.
