A press conference was held at the Coimbatore Press Club on behalf of the All Jamaat and Islamic Organisations in Coimbatore District, addressing the media, Raja Husaain, Coordinator accused that after unrest prevailed in the city after Hindu outfits took up protests in support of CAA. He added that the unrest led to assaults on Muslims.

"To establish law and order and promote harmony, the Police should act unbiasedly and punish the social elements who are triggering communal clashes", he added.
He accused that the police has filed false cases under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act against a Muslim youth who had never been convicted before.
"The Police are acting partial against one group", he alleged.
