According to reports, Bhagwan Nandu runs an electrical shop in Kanakampalayam next to Perumanallur. On Tuesday night, while he was on the way home, a gang of seven men in two-wheelers allegedly blocked Bhagwan Nandu and attacked him with sickles.
He was then rushed to Tirupur Government Hospital for treatment. The Perumanallur police are conducting further investigations. In the meantime, Hindu Makkal Katchi executives gathered in large numbers in front of Tirupur government hospital.
