Coimbatore: Residents of Valparai were stuck in Valparai after a woman on Tuesday was rushed to Coimbatore Government hospital with symptoms of COVID-19.
Kamalam, a woman from Pannimedu Tea Estate, was admitted to the Valparai Government Hospital with symptoms of Coronavirus and later sent by a special ambulance to Coimbatore Government Hospital.

Following this, the Municipal Commissioner of Valparai Pavanraj visited the Pannimedu area and the surrounding tea plantations and advised the management to educate the workers on safety measures.
Also, disinfectants were sprayed on vehicles near the checkpoint in Pannimedu estate area. The Municipal Commissioner advised the people to visit the Primary Health Centres or the Government hospital if they experience any symptoms of COVID-19.
