Coimbatore: A special pooja by District Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was held at Koniyamman Temple here on Tuesday, to prevent the spread of novel Coronavirus, which has claimed over 6000 lives across the globe.
Coimbatore: A special pooja by District Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was held at Koniyamman Temple here on Tuesday, to prevent the spread of novel Coronavirus, which has claimed over 6000 lives across the globe.
The State and the Central government have geared up preventive measures across the country to combat the virus spread. All schools, colleges, theatres, parks and tourist sites have been ordered to close down upto March 31.

In a bid to prevent the spread of the pandemic, a special pooja was held at the Koniamman temple in Town hall on behalf of the District BJP. Apart from party cadres, public also took part in the pooja.

Coimbatore District BJP leader Nandakumar said that the pooja was organised to protect Coimbatore district and its people from Coronavirus.
