Coimbatore: The Government of Tamil Nadu is taking various precautions to prevent coronavirus infection. Schools, colleges, cinemas and malls and other public places are closed till 31st. The public has also been asked to avoid travel by bus, train and going on a picnic.

Disinfectant were sprayed yesterday as a precautionary measure in the District Collector's office as banks and government offices are functioning normally. Also, civilians and staff members who arrived there were asked to use hand sanitizers.
For the second day as a preventive measure for coronavirus, the district collector's office has cleaned up debris and sprayed bleaching powder and disinfectants. Corporation employees have been working on cleaning the two-wheeler parking areas, canteen, and treasury areas since morning.
