Coimbatore: A 55-year-old woman was attacked with acid by another woman of her extended family, leaving her sustain grievous burns in Sulur on Saturday. The woman has been arrested, the police said.

In a family feud between Ramathaal (80) and Shakunthala (55) of Kangeyampalayam in Sulur, the former attacked the latter with acid.
Hearing Shakunthala scream in pain, the neighbours rushed her to Coimbatore government hospital for treatment.
Following this, Ramathaal was arrested by Sulur Police who have filed appropriate cases on her.
