To prevent trespassing at check posts in Aliyar, Attakatti, Top slip, Sethumadai, Kavarckal, Sirukundra, Chinnakallar, Solaiyar Dam, Kadambarai, Manampalli, and Kerala border at Mazhukkuparai over 20 CCTV cameras have been fixed.
Two cameras are fixed in each check post. The cameras help to track animal movement in the area.
Anaimalai Tiger Reserve District Forest Officer and Assistant Field Director Arokiaraj Xavier said that with the help of technology, the trespassing people will be severely punished and animal movement near the checkposts will now be monitored 24x7.
