Coimbatore: Appointment of a permanent Tahsildhar for Valparai has been a long standing plea of the people, as at present the Tahsildhar has been vested with dual duties at Valparai and Udumalpet.
Coimbatore: Appointment of a permanent Tahsildhar for Valparai has been a long standing plea of the people, as at present the Tahsildhar has been vested with dual duties at Valparai and Udumalpet.
Earlier, Venkatachalam who was serving as Tahsildhar for Valparai was transferred to Anamalai office and since then he was vested with dual duty of Valparai and Udumalpet. Working in both places meant that he could not do justice to the requirements of the people in Valparai. Hence, the people in Valparai had requested for a new Tahsildhar exclusively for their region.
Paying heed to their request, Raja who was working as Direct Assistant to the Sub-Collector in Pollachi District Administration had been promoted and appointed as Valparai Tahsildhar.
Today, Tahsildhar Raja who took charge was given a warm welcome by the officials and the people.
