Coimbatore: The special police team formed under the supervision of City Police Commissioner, Sumit Sharan and Deputy Commissioner, Balaji Saravanan have nabbed two suspects in connection with the assault of Hindu Munnani functionary, Anandh (33).
Anandh, District Incharge of Hindu Munnani was assaulted by unidentified men last week, near Nanjundapuram. He sustained severe injuries and is presently, treated at a private hospital in the city.
According to reports, Noor Mohammed and Santh Mohammed from the city have been taken under police custody for investigation.
Sources confirm that an official statement confirming the investigation will be released by the police, shortly.
