Coimbatore: Police are conducting an inquiry into the incident where the auto of Manithaneya Makkal Katchi member was attacked by unidentified people who pelted stones near Selvapuram in Coimbatore on Monday.
Kadar Sharif, an auto driver hails from Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Coimbatore. Last night, while he has driving near Putuviki bridge near Selvapuram, two unidentified youth pelted stones at his auto.
Following this, the Manithaneya Makkal Katchi members gathered in the area to protest. The police led by Deputy Commissioner, Balaji Saravanan rushed to the spot and investigated the issue.
A special team are probing the issue.
