Tirupur: The CPI(M), is holding a non-violent protest against the implementation of the CAA, NPR and NRC, in front of the Tirupur Corporation. The protestors have also placed a demand that the TN Legislative Assembly should pass a resolution against CAA.

G. Ramakrishnan, Politbureau member of the CPI(M), took part in the protest today and delivered the speech.

Prior to the meeting, he met the press and said, "The CPI(M), will protest continuously until the CAA, NRC and NPR are revoked. 13 states have passed resolutions against these Acts. However the TN government is still hesitant and delaying the passing of the resolution. Even after the Central government has expressed it's intent on passing the Act, the TN government is still requesting clarification regarding questions 10, 13 and 14. The AIADMK government must seek to pass a resolution against the CAA, NRC and NPR, in the present legislative session", he insisted.
