Passengers who come to the country via air travel are not restricted to travel through other means. There are thousands of passengers who land at various airports and then take trains to reach their destination.
As a result of this Chennai Central, Egmore, Coimbatore and Trichy railway stations are full of passengers travelling from various states.
The Director General of Railway Police, Chennai, Dr. C. Shailendra Babu had issued orders, to distribute face masks to the Railway police officials and personnel. Acting under this order, the Railway Chief of Police, Chennai, V. Vanitha, inspected the distribution of these masks.
Railway Police Superintendents, Chennai and Trichy, Maheshwaran and Dr. Senthil Kumar, supervised the distribution of the masks to the various police officials and police personnel working at all the railway police stations.
All the train passengers were also requested to obey the guidelines issued by the Central Government, to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
