Tirupur: Tense moments prevailed in Tirupur on Monday morning after both pro and anti-CAA protestors gathered at the same place for protest. Over 500 policemen were deployed by SP Disha Mittal to disperse the protestors.
Tirupur: Tense moments prevailed in Tirupur on Monday morning after both pro and anti-CAA protestors gathered at the same place for protest. Over 500 policemen were deployed by SP Disha Mittal to disperse the protestors.

Hundreds of members of Hindu Makkal Katchi gathered at Nalroad in Tirupur in support of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Around the same area, hundreds of Islamists had also gathered to protest against the CAA.
While members of Hindu Makkal Katchi reached the place where Islamists were protesting, the Islamists began to block the roads to prevent their entry.

As both the sides continued to gather, tense moments prevailed at Mangalam road in Tirupur. Following which 500 policemen were deployed for security, upon orders of SP Disha Mittal.

Later, the police negotiated with both the parties and settled the issue.
