Recently, the teachers of Puthipalayam Government Primary School near Narasimanaickenpalayam here had forced a dalit student to clean the toilets. Shattered by the incident, the mother of the student had complained about the incident to the Police and the District Collector and demanded to book the teachers under the Prevention of Atrocities Act.
The mother alleged that the concerned officials have dealt the issue in an unfair way by just initiating departmental action on the teachers.
Following this, on behalf of Dravida Viduthalai Kazhagam a petition was filed to the District Collector demanding legal action against the school teachers.
