Coimbatore: In a much commendable act of compassion and respect, the Deputy Commissioner (Law & Order) here at the Commissioner's Police walked down to a 86-year-old complainant, and received her petition. His act of compassion and respect has won much appreciations.

Rangammal (86) of R.S. Puram here, visited the Police Commissioner's Office today, to file a complaint regarding her jewel loan. Due to aging issues, she was unable to climb the first floor where the DC's office is located.
Seeing her stuck with mobility issues, the policemen on duty attended to her with respect and made her sit in the ground floor and informed the Deputy Commissioner (L&O), Balaji Saravanan. Hearing her plight, the DC came all the way to the downstairs and met Rangammal in person and received her petition. He patiently heard to her issues and assured to resolve it at the earliest.
He further ordered the concerned officials to take action on her complaint, on priority. Further, arrangements were made for Rangammal to reach her house, safely.
The kind gesture by the policemen and DC for providing utmost care and respect for a senior citizen, was lauded by the public.
