Coronavirus: First positive case in Tamil Nadu; man admitted in Chennai hospital

Chennai: The first positive case of coronavirus has been reported in Chennai on Saturday. With this the total count of positive cases was rose to 34.

Chennai: The first positive case of coronavirus has been reported in Chennai on Saturday. With this the total count of positive cases was rose to 34.

A 45-year-old man who had returned from Oman to Chennai was tested positive for the virus and has been admitted at an isolation ward in Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital. 

His samples sent to the National Insitute of Virology in Pune for testing confirmed that the man has been infected with Coronavirus. Following which his family has been placed under isolation at their home. 

The patient is reported to be stable.
