Coimbatore: Following complaints on a Woman Head Constable of All Women's Police Station in Perur treating complainants abusively the Superintendent of Police (SP) has ordered to transfer the erring constable.
A video footage of the head constable brutally attacking a complainant has been widely circulated in the social media.

Allegations are constantly being raised that women and their relatives are being treated abusively at police stations and the complaint registration process is deliberately made complicated.

According to reports, several complaints in this regard were raised against Krishnaveni, Head Constable at the All women's police station in Perur who has been threatening the complainants and demanding bribes. Recently, she has attacked a complainant who did not budge to her requests.
Proving her brutal behaviours, a video was released in which the woman constable is been assaulting the complainant. Demanding departmental action on the erring constable, the victims lodged a complaint with the District Police Superintendent.

Responding to the complaint, SP Sujit Kumar ordered transfer of the Head Constable Krishnaveni from Perur to Thondamuthur police station.
The SP has also ordered further investigation into the incident.
