Anand was attacked by unidentified persons in the Nanjundapuram area of Coimbatore on 04-03-2020 while returning home that night. The head of the organization, Kadeshwara Subramani had announced that a strike will be held today (06-03-2020).
Similarly, it was also announced that today (06-03-2020) a strike would be held on behalf of all the Jamaat and Islamic alliances condemning Hindu Munnani.
Hindu Munnani organizations have changed the date of the shop shutdown protest to Saturday (07-03-2020). Similarly, Islamic organizations have temporarily changed the date of their protest. Jamaat organization members said the date will be announced tomorrow.
