Market area and bus stand in Coonoor wear deserted look due to Pro-CAA bandh

The Nilgiris: Following the call for a one-day bandh by Hindu outfits in Coonoor in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act, many establishments were shut down in the market and bus stand area.


The Nilgiris: Following the call for a one-day bandh by Hindu outfits in Coonoor in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act, many establishments were shut down in the market and bus stand area.



The busy streets wore a deserted look and police personnel were deployed for security. 



Apart from shops owned by Muslims, most of the shops remain closed. People were affected as only few mini buses were operated.
