Tirupur: A Land Revenue Inspector was allegedly run over by a car while on duty in Nallur. Nallur Land Revenue Inspector Sivasakthi conducted inspection of a lorry carrying gravel sand near the Pudupalayam area, following reports of illegal sand mining. He stopped the lorry and was conducting an investigation. The owner of the lorry Appu Kutty arrived at the spot and engaged in an argument with the inspector.

Following this, inspite of the orders of the Land Revenue Inspector the lorry dumped the sand gravel, and took off. It is alleged that when the inspector questioned Appu Kutty regarding this dumping, Appu Kutty allegedly drove the car, over inspector Sivasakthi's leg and left the place.
Following this Sivasakthi is undergoing treatment at the Primary Health Center. He also filed a complaint on Appu Kutty, with the Nallur Police, on two accounts, disruption of duty and attempt to murder.
Following this, inspite of the orders of the Land Revenue Inspector the lorry dumped the sand gravel, and took off. It is alleged that when the inspector questioned Appu Kutty regarding this dumping, Appu Kutty allegedly drove the car, over inspector Sivasakthi's leg and left the place.
