Coimbatore: In what began as a feud due to a minor road accident led to violent attacks causing grievous injury to three men belonging to Hindu Munnani who were stabbed by a BJP functionary in Coimbatore on Sunday.

While the police are on the lookout of Ashok, the alleged BJP functionary who was involved in the assualt of Karthik, Jerald and Harish belonging to Hindu Munnani, an unidentified man today barged into the residence of Ashok and threatened his family.
The CCTV of the man threatening the wife and mother of Ashok at his residence in Kavundampalayam has been released. The man threatened of killing Ashok and has even attempted to break the CCTV at their home.
The Police are on the lookout for the unidentified man. The Police are also searching Ashok and his friends Rasu, Shanmuga Sundaram, Sachu, Dinesh and Kiran for assaulting three people. All the six men have been booked under IPC 147,148,324,307 and 506(2), at the Thudiyalur Police station.

A woman met with a minor accident after her two wheeler and a car with Kerala registration banged against each other near Fire station at Kavundampalayam, on Sunday evening. The accident led to heated arguments between the two parties. While a group of men who arrived at the accident spot spoke in support of the car driver, the woman's brother Selva called help from his friends Ashok, Rasu, Shanmuga Sundaram, Sachu, Dinesh and Kiran.
Within few minutes, the argument ensued into a tussle and the six men from the woman's side reportedly assaulted Karthik, Gerald and Harish of the opposite side with sickles.
The three injured men have been hospitalised and are undergoing treatment.
Upon investigation it was revealed that the injured three men belong to Hindu Munnani and a few of the attackers including Ashok, were members of the BJP who absconded from the spot.
The Thudiyalur Police have booked the six men under IPC 147,148,324,307 and 506(2) and are on the lookout to nab them.
