Coimbatore: The ninth edition of International Engineering Sourcing show (IESS) will be held at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore between March 4 - 6 2020. This is the first time that IESS will be held in a non-metro city.
Coimbatore: The ninth edition of International Engineering Sourcing show (IESS) will be held at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore between March 4 - 6 2020. This is the first time that IESS will be held in a non-metro city.
Close to 400 delegates across 50 countries and exhibitors from all over the country are scheduled to take part in the show organised by Engineering Export Promotion Council of India.
According to S.Chandrasekar, Chairperson, EEPC, Coimbatore Chapter, "Nearly 400 exhibitors will attend the event. As Coimbatore is predominantly a manufacturing hub, this show will be greatly beneficial to the MSME industries in the city. Notably, this is the first time, IESS is conducted in a city like Coimbatore, as all previous eight editions were conducted only in metro cities".
He noted that engineering expo will have manufacturers from across the country and according to the organisers, the show will be a great opportunity to bring the small and medium manufacturers to into the export net.
"We are expecting a business of Rs 400 Crore and a footfall between 15000 to 20000 visitors, mostly businesses. Technical seminars will also be conducted as part of the show," added Chandrasekar, Chairperson EEPC.
M.C.Sampath, Minister of Industries, Tamil Nadu and P.Benjamin, Minister for Rural industries will attend the inauguration event at CODISSIA on March 4.
