Senniyappan (85) and his wife Karunaimmal (65) from Rayarpalayam have alleged that their son Palanisamy had deceived and grabbed their property and left them in misery.
The elderly couple stated that for the last 10 years, they have been experiencing immense torture by their son who allegedly took hold of their property and abandoned them.
"We filed a complaint at Palladam police station and several petitions to the District Collector, but no action was taken", accuse the elderly couple.
They also lamented that with an injury to the leg, their plight has become very painful.
Further elaborating on the torture, the distressed couple cried that their son has disconnected electricity supply to their residence and water.
Pushed to penury and misery, the elderly couple sought permission for mercy killing or help them for a peaceful livelihood.
