Tirupur: In Tirupur district, 24,609 students appeared for the 12th board exams on Monday. Out of them were 11,082 boys and 13,527 female students, this year too the girl students surpassed the boys.

"86 exam centers have been set up to facilitate the students to write exams, 166 flying squads and 1482 staff have been deployed to conduct the exams in a fair manner", told the District Collector.
He added that 75 differently-abled students have also appeared for the exams. Out of them, 29 students will receive an additional one hour to complete the exams.
