Coimbatore: Alleging and condemning DMK and its allies for spreading false propaganda on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary, Vanathi Srinivasan along with party members petitioned to the District Collector demanding action, here on Friday.
In support of the CAA, the BJP cadres led by Vanathi Srinivasan held a two-wheeler rally holding placards in support of CAA and condemning DMK and its allies for instigating Anti-CAA protests in Tamil Nadu for 'political gains'. The cadres marched from the District BJP party office here and concluded at the District Collectorate.

Addressing the media, Vanathi Srinivasan, State Secretary of BJP TN vehemently alleged that DMK has been misleading the minorities by false propaganda on CAA. "By misleading the youngsters and Muslims, DMK has disrupted the harmony of Tamil Nadu. The Home Minister has clarified all the doubts and speculations on CAA and has assured that Muslims living in India will not be affected by the Act. Yet, fear prevails among the Muslims in Tamil Nadu, due to the continous false propaganda by the DMK and its allies."
She questioned why Stalin is not ready to accept the challenge posed by senior BJP leader, Muralidar Rao who invited Stalin for a debate on the Citizenship Act. "Muslims should not fall prey to false propaganda on CAA and to the gimmicks of DMK, instead should trust the government and withdraw their protests", she appealed.

Later, the BJP cadres led by Vanathi Srinivasan submitted a petition to the District Collector K Rajamani urging action against DMK for disrupting the harmony of the State.
